Company History

July 1951
Yokoyama Shoten, a galvanized iron shop, opens at 2-62 Wakamiya-cho, Toyota-shi
December 1954
Yokoyama Press Kogyo-sho is established and launched as a joint operation
December 1956
The firm is incorporated and launched as Yokoyama Kogyo Co., Ltd. (President: Shunsaburo Yokoyama)
April 1959
The company purchases an ironworking site at 1-12-1 Hinode-cho, Toyota-shi
April 1964
In order to help streamline factory operations, the company joins the Toyota Ironworking Industrial Area Union, purchases a 3,300 square meter site in Hirokute-cho, and develops a factory focused primarily on in-house goods
January 1967
The company purchases a 10,000 square meter site at 1-15 Mori-cho, Toyota-shi, begins work on new factory construction, and leaves the Industrial Area factory
April 1968
The Hinode Factory is renovated and the Construction Materials Sales Department is launched
January 1972
The Construction Materials Sales Department Okazaki Office begins operations on a 1,200 square meter site featuring 600 square meters of total warehouse space and 90 square meters for offices
March 1973
The Construction Materials Sales Department's 660 square meter Mold Processing Center is constructed on the Mori-cho Factory premises
April 1976
The Construction Materials Sales Department Toyokawa Office begins operations; expansion into the Higashi Mikawa district extends market coverage to the entire Mikawa area
April 1984
The current president assumes his post

The Construction Materials Sales Department Toyohashi Office is established

The Solar Department is established

The Construction Materials Sales Department's Processing Center Akiba Factory is constructed

The Head Office and Construction Materials Department Toyota Office is moved to a new location at 1-11-1 Sengoku-cho, Toyota-shi

Yokoyama Kogyo (Thailand) Co., Ltd. (overseas business), is established in the Eastern Seaboard Industrial Estate, Rayong, Thailand, on a site that features 13,050 square meters of total space and buildings that cover an area of 4,860 square meters.
